Re-registration

With the re-registration, students declare that they wish to continue their studies at OVGU in the upcoming semester. Re-registration takes place after the semester fee and, if applicable, additional fees, have been paid.

 

The re-registration for the winter semester 2026/27 takes place from June 2, 2026 until June 29, 2026.

 

The semester fee for the winter semester 2026/27 amounts to 329.30 Euro.

 

For re-registration, the following payment options are available in the myOVGU portal:

  • Payment by direct debit (recommended)
  • Payment by QR code transfer

Re-registration for the following semester will only be effective if the full semester fee and, if applicable, additional fees have been credited to the OVGU’s account by June 29, 2026. For payments by direct debit, the date of authorization in myOVGU applies. For bank transfers, please note the applicable processing times. These may also apply to instant transfers.

 

Payment of the semester fee via direct debit is possible even if you are subject to a re-registration lock, and is recommended in order to meet the re-registration deadline mentioned above. To have the re-registration lock deleted, you must first submit the missing documents to the student’s office. Once the re-registration lock has been successfully deleted, your re-registration will be carried out.

 

When applying for a Master's program or if you wish to change the study program, you must also re-register during the re-registration period.

 

In case of late re-registration an additional fee of 10.30€ will be charged.

 

You will not automatically be re-registered for each semester. The re-registration has to be done during the respective period by every student. In case you cannot provide sufficient account coverage, be aware that your bank will not cover the difference. Any chargeback fees incurred by the bank as a result are the responsibility of the student.
